Catalogue spécialisé

L'ouvrage de référence des collectionneurs des timbres de la reine Victoria est le catalogue STANLEY GIBBONS Specialised Queen Victoria.

La 16ème édition de cet ouvrage est parue en Décembre 2011 avec une réimpression en Novembre 2013. Déjà au moins 7 ans ! Son remplaçant est annoncé pour fin le début de décembre 2020.

Il prévoit les actualisations attendues pour refléter l'évolution des prix sur cette période et les connaissances approfondies sur les émissions des 'line-engraved'. En effet, ce nouveau catalogue spécialisé ne sera pas une 17éme édition mais la première partie du volume 1 consacré aux émissions de la reine Victoria. Les 'surface-printed' feront l'objet d'une seconde partie prévue en 2022...

Un certain nombre de prix enregistrent des diminutions. Toutes les illustrations de timbres devraient être désormais en couleur.
